Samples in music!

So today, I was reading one of my favorite blogs and they had a youtube video of kanye west that shows all or almost all of the songs that he's done has had samples of like EVERYTHING that hes listen to when he was younger.

So I watched the WHOLE thing (ten minutes of my life i cant get back) and the person was showing that not only did he sample (which means take SOME OR A PIECE) of the song he takes the WHOLE damn thing! Now I read the comments that people were leaving and MOST like 99% of them were saying that he is a genus and that hes wonderful and all that shit. Now for the NORMAL people out there we all know that taking samples is OK, but that doesn't mean that you have a REAL talent! Its one thing to take some of the song and make it your own with YOUR own words and whatever or try to reinvent the sound of something but its a whole other thing to take the song that made someone famous and claim that its yours and that its something you pulled out of the sky. Some one also said that hes full of him self which we all know is sooo true!

I watched the whole video and i saw that prince was one of the artists who he's sampled from, now we all know that prince for damn sure wants his money for any song that he lets people sample. I'm saying that all he does is take the entire song and either slows it down or speeds it up and then rants over it and calls it a hit. Then he has the nerve to bitch and moan about how he didn't get this award or that award and yell at the public when we tell him to sit the hell down already!
